Our living room led display is happily serving us time and news.
In autumn time it often happens to me when I leave home early in the morning to ride my bike to work that the moment I step out of the door I am suddenly surprised by the weather conditions. It can happen that I am underdressed or the temperature is lower than expected or I am overdressed because yesterday I was underdressed.
I typically do not check weather reports nor am aware of any forecasts.
To improve the situation I recently had a look for free, easily parseable weather reports on the web and discovered the google weather api … (surprise, surprise…)

Replace Timbuktu with your desired location and en with your preferred language.
The weather api provides you with the basic weather information (temperature, humidity, wind, and brief overall description) for today plus 3 days forecast.
So in the middle of every hour I am streaming this information on the display, leaving me enough time to react clothingwise.
In addition I display the current outdoor temperature randomly on average once a minute.
